ST. MORITZ ART MASTERS GREETS CHINA
 
In 2013 St. Moritz Art Masters is happy to once again present outstanding works by regional, national and international artists in St. Moritz and in the Engadin. At around 30 sites in St. Moritz and vicinity exhibitions will be on show from 23 August to 1 September 2013. The so-called WALK OF ART will link exhibitions from Maloja to S-chanf. In past years this WALK enabled spectators to discover works by Vik Muniz, Lutz & Guggisberg, Oliver Kruse, Jonathan Meese, George Condo, Jannis Kounellis, Ilya & Emilia Kabakov, Stephan Balkenhol and many others.
The different platforms make this event into a unique experience. Galleries, institutions, especially curated exhibitions, artist talks and workshops all contribute to laying the foundations of the 2013 St. Moritz Art Masters.
With a strong focus on “China” a further exciting platform will be created. Among other features, an exhibition with works by young Chinese artists from the Sichuan region is planned, developed by the Swiss art network Art Alliance in cooperation with Chinese curators. There will be a photography exhibition curated by Amedeo M.Turello together with the Chinese Pulitzer Prize Winner Liu Heung Shing, which has as its theme the journalistic development of photography in China from the Cultural Revolution until today. Talks and events which represent this culturally interesting country will accompany the exhibitions.
