Tàpies: From Within
 
Presenting a selection of more than a hundred of works from 1945 to 2011, mostly coming from the personal collection of Antoni Tàpies but also complemented by works from the Collection of the Fundació Antoni Tàpies, the exhibition demonstrates the unceasing and even obsessive experimentation of the artist, and also stresses the development of his own iconography, his special vocabulary made up from signs, the materials, colors and everyday objects. Vicent Todolí, in his first foray into the work of Antoni Tàpies, pays much attention to the artist's affiliation with the tireless and restless avant-garde break,a pedigree that goes beyond the rules of museums and art history. As a consequence, this exhibition extends from the Fundació Antoni Tàpies to the National Museum of Art of Catalunya (MNAC).
