This is fucking gross, okay? A guy who has no professional art training sells out because of his status in popular culture. I am sure glad I invested in my MFA degree. I am going to break out the 6-pack of Haterade TONIGHT!!!

I saw Kevin Bacon's father in the audience of a screening of Men in Love. Surely that counts for something?

oh, yeah, CLEARLY he is a genius.

but give me a break, who will care in say 5years? the works have no legs of their own but deploy a derivative ontology, that is to say they depend on knowing who made them.

Not knowing who John Lurie was, I entered the room. It was packed. I recognized Buscemi right away. He's a fireman of some sort.
I was told this was the place to be. The electricity never left the tazer though. I wove in and out of the perimiter. What were these?

Then I knew. they were cartoons. Just like say David Scrigley or some other nob at Kreps n'Kern. Some of them might have been a bit angry, mean, even. I dunno. Why did I stay? Fishing with John (Lurie). Awesome Show. Of course I know everyone.

Stone:

It's too bad that the money you invested in your MFA training hasn't made your shows—if you've had any—sell out. Maybe you should just give up.

After all, it's Jan. 24, the “most depressing day of the year,” according to a U.K. psychologist.

Dr. Cliff Arnall's calculations show that misery peaks Monday.

Arnall, who specializes in seasonal disorders at the University of Cardiff, Wales, created a formula that takes into account numerous feelings to devise peoples' lowest point.

The model is: [W + (D-d)] x TQ
          M x NA

The equation is broken down into seven variables: (W) weather, (D) debt, (d) monthly salary, (T) time since Christmas, (Q) time since failed quit attempt, (M) low motivational levels and (NA) the need to take action.
