Where is the art world located?

I was amused by your august journal's City names on the front of your web page. According to this Nottingham U.K. is not a part of the IAW (International Art World) and neither is Chicago which I find distressing for those poor artists there. I would love some advice on how long this state of affairs has pertained and with government funding we may be able to relocate to somewhere that is in the IAW immediately thus rectifying the situation.

Ah Chicago is back in IAW (International art world) that's a relief hope it stays there but alas poor Nottingham despite its history of green-clad site-specific tree-dwelling installation artists is not there....

it's a cruel IAW...

The International art world does not recognise Nottingham because the national(UK) art world does not acknowledge that there is any art made outside of the narrow confines of the London scene.
Its easy to ignore all that happens elsewhere and in so doing keep all the best bits of the cake to themselves. After all the quality of art is not in the work but in who you know.

The art world is located between your ears. Some people can find Nottingham, others only know it as the place where the Sherriff came from. Maybe, by being outside, Nottingham is in a better place.

The art world is everywhere. There are art shows almost everywhere. Whether or not it is great art is another question. Juried art exhibitions are a great way to get involved with other talented artists. www.DigitalArtJournal.com ArtDeadlineslist.com and www.ArtContestGuide.com all have opportunities to get involved with the art community.
