The show at the New Museum and Artforum's coverage of the event epitomizes everything that is wrong with the art world today. I've never seen or read more drivel about meaningless garbage than I've read here. Michael Stipe looks like some kind of child molester and who cares what “The Edge” thinks of the “show”. Elizabeth Peyton, Matthew Barney, Jeff Koons, Cecily Brown, Bjork, Lisa Phillips, Richard Flood... all these clowns are talentless schills getting by on the basis of their disdain for anything of substance. The art world of this decade has been destroyed by these “so-called” art stars and their attitudinal support structure of the “blue chip” galleries. Their time is OVER. Artforum is a terrible magazine that does nothing to support art, but everything to support the pathetic business of selling. This just is nothing more than fashion (awful fashion at that). Look at the show. Its a mess and, if anything, its abject failure on almost every level only proves the worthlessness of the art within. If this show represents art in the current decade, or the past decade, then god help us all. We are clearly doomed as a society. The talentless and vapid work generated by today's crop of anointed “art-stars” is nothing short of trash. Excuse me while I go vomit. I can only hope the title “Skin Crawl” is the author's attempt to suggest the pathetic nature of this kind of event. Where's my bucket!

you should go on the road with that....Tino Seghal meets Steven Seagal
Did I detect a note of disapproval?
