This week, we look back on Artforum contributing editor Huey Copeland’s “Specters of History,” a close-up on Carrie Mae Weems’s Lincoln, Lonnie, and Me—A Story in 5 Parts, 2012, which he wrote for the magazine’s September 2014 issue. Carrie Mae Weems, a collection of essays and interviews celebrating the artist and her work, is now available from October Files. Copeland, one of the contributors to the book, talked with curator Allison Glenn for Artforum’s current issue.
