Yang Fudong

FILM IS THE MEDIUM that is closest to the way I visualize my ideas. It exists in between reality and the invented.

I started presenting several projections at once because I wanted to experiment with an alternative kind of film—you could call it spatial film. It makes for an imagined or intuitive film, in which the audience becomes a second director; in the process of viewing, they can organize a film that belongs to them.
