The Design Museum in London has unveiled plans for its future site at the Commonwealth Institute building in Kensington, scheduled to open its doors in 2014. The project, estimated to cost over $125 million, includes an interior created by John Pawson and a surrounding residential development by OMA. The move will give the museum three times more space than its current location, space that will be crucial if the museum is to achieve its aim of doubling its annual attendance to half a million visitors per year.
