Akron Art Museum Receives $750,000

$750,000 has been given to the Akron Art Museum by the John S. and James L. Knight Foundation. The gift is intended to help the museum produce a series of six exhibitions over the next three years that will include programming designed by the public aimed at drawing new audiences, reports Dorothy Shinn of the Akron Beacon Journal. Said director Mark Masuoka: “This generous gift provides the museum valuable resources to directly connect the community to artists and the creative process as well as plan and program compelling programs that make art relevant to all audiences.”
