Andaleeb Badiee Banta Named Curator at Allen Memorial Art Museum

Andaleeb Badiee Banta has been named curator of European and American art at the Allen Memorial Art Museum at Oberlin College, reports Artdaily. Banta is currently an assistant curator at the National Gallery of Art. Said director Andria Derstine: “Banta has a broad range of interests and skills as a curator and a teacher. Her energy and enthusiasm for both museum work and academic research is evident in her scholarship and past projects. We’re very excited about her expertise in sixteenth- and seventeenth-century art as well as with works on paper . . . and her ideas for future programs and exhibitions using our stellar collection.” Banta will begin her new role on July 1.
