Andrew Edlin Gallery Postpones Event as Wall Collapses Next Door, Injuring Two [UPDATED]
Andrew Edlin Gallery has postponed the inaugural event at its new location at 212 Bowery in New York, after a wall collapsed in an ongoing construction project next door, yesterday morning, injuring two workers.
One of the victims was apparently trapped in a stairwell as a result of the “partial wall collapse” inside the eight-decade-old building at 210 Bowery, which is being converted to condos, reports the blog Bowery Boogie. A full stop-work order has been issued.
At Edlin, Brent Green and his band were going to perform live to screenings of a few of his animated films. The gallery has yet to announce a rescheduled date the event.
UPDATE, August 12, 2015, 4:03 PM: The gallery has rescheduled Green's performance for August 19 at 8 PM.
