Andrew W. Mellon, Joan Mitchell Foundations Give $370,000 to Contemporary Art Conservation Group

The International Network for the Conservation of Contemporary Art–North America is receiving $300,000 from the Andrew W. Mellon Foundation and $70,000 from the Joan Mitchell Foundation in support of two ongoing projects: its Artist Interview Workshops and its Artist’s Voice program series—both part of the network’s mission to train conservators and their colleagues on methods for interviewing artists. The network’s workshops will reach Miami in February, at the Rubell Family Collection in Miami, and will arrive in New York in April at the Brooklyn Museum of Art.
