Anthony Elms Named Chief Curator at ICA Philadelphia

Anthony Elms has been named chief curator at the ICA Philadelphia, which announced two other appointments: Alex Klein as the Dorothy and Stephen R. Weber curator, and Kate Kraczon as an associate curator, according to Alex Greenberger in Artnews. The new roles are being made possible by a ten-million-dollar donation from philanthropist Daniel W. Dietrich, II. Museum director Amy Sadao also described a larger plan to expand the museum.

Elms, as many know, most recently curated the Whitney Museum’s biennial, last year. At the ICA, he’s organized shows like, “White Petals Surround Your Yellow Heart,” 2013, and “Stefan Sagmeister The Happy Show,” 2012. He also edits the publishing imprint WhiteWalls.
