Arnolfini Announces New Director of Programs

The Bristol, England-based arts organization Arnolfini has appointed Rob Bowman as their new director of programming. Bowman is currently head of programs and production at Artangel, and will take on his new role at Arnolfini next month. Since joining Artangel in 2007, Bowman has led production on several of the organization’s most ambitious projects including Catherine Yass’s High Wire, Roger Hiorns’s Seizure, and Ryoji Ikeda’s Spectra. He has also worked with such artists as Cerith Wyn Evans, Susan Philipsz, Ryan Gander, and Jose Damasceno. Bowman began his career at the then Museum of Modern Art, Oxford, and subsequently became curator at the Institute of Contemporary Arts, London.

Commenting on the appointment, Arnolfini’s CEO Kate Brindley said: “I am delighted that Rob will be joining the team at Arnolfini as Director of Programme. Rob brings great dynamism and experience to the role from his time working with a world-class commissioning organization in Artangel.”
