Artspace.com, an online art dealer that offers artwork from partners like the Guggenheim, David Zwirner, White Cube, and the Brooklyn Museum, has announced it raised $2.5 million from investors, reports Randy Kennedy of the New York Times. Additionally, it has added several notable institutions to its roster of partners, including the New Museum, the Institute of Contemporary Art in Philadelphia, and Mexico City gallery kurimanzutto. The site was founded last March and sells work from established and emerging artists. Kennedy adds that in efforts to provide more news, educational material, and information about artists to prospective buyers, Artspace has hired Andrew Goldstein, the former executive editor of the art news site Artinfo, to serve as editor-in-chief.
