Last Friday, Artadia: The Fund for Art and Dialogue announced the ten winners of Artadia Awards in the San Francisco Bay Area. Sergio De La Torre, the Center for Tactical Magic, and Chris Sollars received fifteen thousand dollars each; David Hevel, Desirée Holman, Michael Light, Trevor Paglen, Catherine Wagner, Hank Willis Thomas, and Amy Wilson Faville will each receive fifteen hundred dollars. The winners were selected by Daniell Cornell, director of contemporary projects at the De Young Museum of Art in San Francisco; Sylvie Gilbert, interim director of the visual arts program at the Banff Centre in Alberta, Canada; and Mary Jane Jacob, chair of the sculpture department at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago.
