Italian artist Paola Pivi says she wants one thousand people to come together outside Tate Modern in London to scream in unison. Pivi, who lives in Alaska, said she had found seven hundred people so far to take part in the May 25 performance, titled 1,000, reports the Sunday Times of London, via UPI. While some are expected to scream their opposition to China’s domination of Tibet, others will just let loose with whatever inspires them, the Times_ said. “I liked the notion of all these different people coming together to perform something completely unrehearsed,” Pivi said.
Those taking part in the performance-art piece come from charities, community groups, and campaign organizations. Pivi assured the newspaper that her work, which is part of a festival of public art at the London museum, was not coordinated to disturb the public.
