Artists Chosen for Mexico’s Pavilion at 2015 Venice Biennale

The National Institute of Fine Arts in Mexico has announced that the artists Tania Candiani and Luis Felipe Ortega have been selected to show work at the Mexican Pavilion at the 2015 Venice Biennale. Curated by Karla Jasso, the joint exhibition will be a a single, site-specific installation titled Possessing Nature.

Felipe Ortega is from Mexico City and graduated from the National Autonomous University, UNAM. He works across diverse media including video, performances, sculpture, and drawing. Candiani is also from Mexico City and works in many interdisciplinary collaborations. She was a Guggenheim Fellowship Recipient in 2011.
