Artists Chosen for Venice Biennale’s German Pavilion

The curator for Germany’s pavilion at next year’s Venice Biennale, Florian Ebner, has chosen the artists who will represent the country in a group exhibition, notes Der Spiegel. They are Tobias Zielony, Hito Steyerl, Olaf Nicolai, Jasmina Metwaly, and Philip Rizk. The photography curator at the Museum Folkwang in Essen, Ebner intends to use the exhibition to explore the “material and political nature of images in the digital age and a globalized world.” Germany’s previous two pavilions were organized by Susanne Gaensheimer.
