Beatrix Ruf has been appointed director of the Stedelijk Museum in Amsterdam, replacing Ann Goldstein. Baer Faxt reported the news this morning. Ruf is currently director of the Kunsthalle Zurich, associate editor for JRP-Ringier, and the artistic director of the Ringier Collection. She sits on the board of Vienna’s MUMOK. In 2012, she was listed as one of the top ten most influential people in the art world by Art Review.
