New York–based German art historian and critic Bettina Funcke has been appointed as the head of publications for Documenta 13, reports Absolute Arts via Artinfo. Her past experience includes working as an editor for the Dia Art Foundation and serving as senior editor for Parkett magazine.
Funcke is also a co-founder of The Leopard Press and the Continuous Project group. She will work with Hatje Cantz to publish 100 Notes – 100 Thoughts, a collection of printed notebooks with contributions by authors in fields such as arts, science, philosophy, poetry, psychology, and political theory. Documenta 13 is scheduled to open in Kassel, Germany on June 9, 2012.
