Bidoun Releases Free Archive Online

The award-winning New York–based publication on art and culture of the Middle East, Bidoun, has released a freely-accessible online archive of all their articles. Founded in 2004 by Lisa Farjam, the magazine became a nonprofit in 2010 and its most recent print edition was in 2013. In addition to the archive, the magazine also invited several cultural figures such as curator Hans Ulrich Obrist, NYU professor Sukhdev Sandhu, and Turkish author and Nobel Prize laureate Orhan Pamuk to curate collections from the magazine’s diverse output.

Bidoun was nominated for a National Magazine Award for General Excellence in 2009, and three UTNE Independent Press Awards for social and cultural coverage; design; and art writing.
