BIRMINGHAM MUSEUM OF ART ANNOUNCES MAJOR PROMOTIONS
Robin Scher reports at Artnews that Alabama’s Birmingham Museum of Art has promoted Graham C. Boettcher, its chief curator, to the position of deputy director while the decorative arts curator, Anne Forschler-Tarrasch, will take over the position of chief curator. Forschler-Tarrasch will also maintain her current post in the decorative arts department.
Boettcher will assist the museum’s director, Gail Andre, with oversight over operations and helm several management roles in the education and conservation departments.
