The Arkansas Democrat Gazette reports that Crystal Bridges Museum of American Art announced yesterday the acquisition of two works by contemporary artists: Kerry James Marshall’s Our Town and Mary McCleary’s The Falcon Cannot Hear the Falconer will be included in the museum’s collection, parts of which are on loan to other museums across the country.
“Both Marshall and McCleary are creating compelling works that speak to contemporary life in late-twentieth- and early-twenty-first-century America,” Chris Crosman, chief curator, said in the museum’s press release.
