Curatorial Team for US Pavilion at 2016 Venice Architecture Biennale Announced

The US state department has announced the curatorial team for the American Pavilion at the 2016 edition of the Venice Architecture Biennale, reports Anna Kats at Artinfo. The Taubman College of Architecture at the University of Michigan will be the organizers of the American pavilion for the fifteenth edition of the biennale. Titled “The Architectural Imagination,” the exhibition will focus on the city of Detroit, presenting “new architectural ideas produced for sites in Detroit but with far-reaching application for cities around the world,” according to a statement issued by Taubman College.

The curatorial team will be led by Monica Ponce de Leon, the outgoing dean of Taubman College, and Cynthia Davidson, editor of the international architectural theory and criticism journal Log and director of the New York City-based nonprofit Anyone Corporation.
