Daniel Garza-Usabiaga has been named the new artistic director of Zona Maco, the art fair in Mexico City. He'll be replacing Pablo del Val, who had led the fair since 2012. Garza-Usabiaga will work with director and founder Zélika García to strengthen ties with institutions and galleries alike. Del Val is leaving to serve as director of exhibitor relations at Art Dubai.

Previously curator at Museo de Arte Moderno, Mexico City, and at Museo Universitario del Chopo, Garza-Usabiaga already has deep ties to the fair, having curated the fair's modern art section in 2013. He is currently on the selection committee of Zona Maco Foto.
