DETAILS ANNOUNCED FOR CHILE’S PAVILION AT VENICE BIENNALE

Chile has announced plans for its Venice Biennale Pavilion, according to Artnews’s Hannah Ghorashi.

Titled “Poéticas de la Disidencia” (“Poetics of Dissent”), the show is curated by the cultural theorist Nelly Richard, and brings together work by two Chilean artists, photographer Paz Errázuriz and performance and video artist Lotty Rosenfeld. The exhibition will focus on present-day Chile, exploring its move from a dictatorial to a democratic system.

“We want our artists and creative practitioners to be known and valued beyond our borders, especially in a showcase of the importance of the Venice Biennale,” said Chile’s minister of culture, Claudia Barattini.
