DIS Named Curatorial Team for Ninth Berlin Biennale

The New York–based collective DIS has been named the curatorial team of the ninth Berlin Biennale. Composed of Lauren Boyle, Solomon Chase, Marco Roso, and David Toro, the group stages site-specific museum and gallery installations—including “ProBio at EXPO 1: New York,” at MoMA PS1 and “Dressing the Screen” at UCCA, Beijing—but also organizes online projects, notably DIS Magazine (which examines art, culture, fashion, and music) and DISImages, a stock photo resource that solicits images from artists. The biennial will take place in the summer of 2016. The curator of this year's edition was Juan A. Gaitán.
