FRIEZE ANNOUNCES TWO NEW FAIRS

The cofounders of Frieze, Amanda Sharp and Matthew Slotover, have announced two new art fairs slated to launch in 2012. The first, Frieze New York, will be held in May 2012 in New York City and will focus on contemporary art. Architectural firm SO-IL will design the site of the fair, and it will include about 170 galleries. The second fair, Frieze Masters, will take place in October 2012 in London, and be directed by Victoria Siddall. According to the organizers, it will provide “a contemporary perspective on historical art.”
