Fulton Ryder to Close

Fulton Ryder, the Upper East Side bookstore founded by artist Richard Prince, will close its doors on December 25. Inspired by the late John McWhinnie, a rare-book dealer and gallerist who had collaborated with Prince on several occasions, Fulton Ryder specializes in artists' books, rare magazines, collectibles, and sometimes exhibitions of work by Prince himself. It welcomes visitors by appointment and has been operated by Fabiola Alondra. The project announced the closing of its physical space in an email to its mailing list, but it will continue with other projects.
