The Gujral Foundation has announced that India and Pakistan will be collaborating on “My East is Your West,” a collateral event which will provide a platform for artists from the two countries. (The Indian subcontinent does not currently see any official state representation at the Biennale.) The upcoming exhibition will take place at Palazzo Benzon in the center of the city, and will feature work by Shilpa Gupta from India and Rashid Rana from Pakistan. The exhibition’s been conceived by Feroze Gujral, director and founder of the Gujral Foundation, and Natasha Ginwala, curatorial advisor and curator of public programming.
