Indianapolis Museum of Contemporary Art’s Director Steps Down

Shauta Marsh has stepped down from her position as executive director of the Indianapolis Museum of Contemporary Art after almost six years with the organization, reports the Indianapolis Star’s Wei-huan Chen. Marsh began working there in June of 2009 as assistant director to arts philanthropist Jeremy Efroymson. He handed leadership over to her in 2011.

During Marsh’s tenure, the museum was recognized with the 2013 Wynn Kramarsky Freedom of Artistic Expression Award, given by the Andy Warhol Foundation for the Visual Arts. Marsh also oversaw the opening of the museum’s second site.
