JENS HOFFMANN AND ADRIANO PEDROSA APPOINTED CURATORS OF 2011 ISTANBUL BIENNIAL

CCA Wattis Institute director Jens Hoffmann and independent Brazilian curator Adriano Pedrosa have been named curators of the twelfth Istanbul Biennial, which will be held September 17–November 13, 2011. The curators are expected to announce a conceptual framework for the exhibition in fall 2010.

Hoffmann commented, “It’s an honor to be asked to curate the Istanbul Biennial, one of the world’s most important exhibitions of contemporary art. I’m looking forward to working with Adriano on what we hope will be an outstanding program for 2011. I’m also pleased and proud that the international art world has taken notice of work of the CCA Wattis Institute.”
