Jess Wilcox Named Director of Exhibitions at Socrates Sculpture Park
Jess Wilcox has been hired by Socrates Sculpture Park as its director of exhibitions. Wilcox has spent the past four and a half years at the Brooklyn Museum, where she was the program coordinator of the Elizabeth A. Sackler Center for Feminist Art. There, she organized the museum’s Women in The Arts lectures, alongside Judy Chicago’s public work A Butterfly for Brooklyn, 2014.
She has also worked at Performa, Storm King Art Center, MoMA, and the Metropolitan Museum of Art, and has curated shows or projects at SculptureCenter, Abrons Art Center, ISCP, the Kitchen, and Artist Space. Wilcox has written for Artforum and Art in America, among other publications.
