JJ PEET Receives Rose Art Museum’s 2016 Artist-in-Residence Award

Brandeis University’s Rose Art Museum announced today that New York–based artist JJ PEET has been selected as the 2016 recipient of the Ruth Ann and Nathan Perlmutter Artist-in-Residence Award, Artnews reports.

The multimedia artist’s residency will take place at various locations across the university’s campus including the museum’s satellite gallery Rosebud in April and May. “FIELD_WORK,” a performance series that will feature video installations and artist interactions with the community will be presented in the Leonard Bernstein Festival of the Creative Arts, which kicks off on April 15 at the university.

Previous honorees of the award include Roxy Paine (2002), Barry McGee (2004), Xavier Veilhan (2005), Dana Schutz (2006), Clare Rojas (2007), Alexis Rockman (2008), Michael Dowling (2009–10), Sam Jury (2011), Dor Guez (2012), Mika Rottenberg (2013–14), and Mary Weatherford (2015).
