Andrew Russeth of Artnews writes that the gallery JTT, started by Jasmin Tsou in 2012, will be moving from its Suffolk Street space to 191 Chrystie, right around the corner from the New Museum, Salon 94, Sperone Westwater, and other galleries. Tsou’s new space will be inaugurated with an exhibition by Diane Simpson.
As Tsou said to Russeth via email, “Moving was inevitable as we only have three hundred square feet of exhibition space at our current location. I’m extremely proud of the ambitious projects we exhibited over the past years . . . some bodies of work, however, simply would have been disserviced by such a small gallery. Diane Simpson’s ‘Samurai’ series is a perfect example.”
The last exhibition at the Suffolk Street space is Cole Sayer’s “Wicked,” which is on view now and closes on October 16, 2016.
