Kim Conaty Appointed Curator of Rose Art Museum at Brandeis University

Kim Conaty has been appointed curator for the Rose Art Museum at Brandeis University. Conaty heads to the Rose from the Museum of Modern Art in New York, where she organized the show “Abstract Generation: Now in Print,” 2013, and played a role in helping the museum acquire works by Janice Kerbel and Daniel Joseph Martinez, as well as a major performance archive by William Pope.L. She also led a project team dedicated to MoMA’s Gilbert and Lila Silverman Fluxus Collection, comprising some eight thousand works across multiple media.

Said Conaty, “My own scholarship and interests strongly relate to the Rose’s collection and curatorial program, and I look forward to working with the Rose staff to continue building upon the museum’s outstanding reputation through groundbreaking exhibitions, key acquisitions, and collaborations within the university.”

She will begin at the Rose in December 2015.
