Laura Raicovich Named Executive Director of the Queens Museum

Laura Raicovich has been named president and executive director of the Queens Museum, effective January 1. Her appointment follows the departure Tom Finkelpearl, who left the Queens Museum to become the cultural affairs commissioner of New York City. Robin Pogrebin of the New York Times reports that Raicovich comes to the institution from Creative Time, where she has served as the director of global initiatives since 2012; among previous posts, she worked as the the deputy director at the Dia Art Foundation and has held positions at the the Solomon R. Guggenheim Museum, the Public Art Fund, and the New York City Department of Parks and Recreation.
