Leslie-Lohman Museum of Gay and Lesbian Art Announces Expansion

The Leslie-Lohman Museum of Gay and Lesbian Art will be undergoing a major expansion. The expansion will nearly double the venue’s current space from 3,300 square feet to 5,600 square feet. The museum is currently at Twenty-six Wooster Street in SoHo, and will be growing into an adjoining location as well.

Hunter O’Hanian, director of the Leslie Lohman Museum remarked, “We have secured the space, devised the plan, identified the funding are now moving forward. We hope to be in the newly renovated space by the March of 2016.”

The museum has a collection of over twenty-four thousand objects and presents six to eight major shows annually.
