The departure of Carnegie Museum of Art director of exhibitions Chris Rauhoff is one of several staff changes and promotions at the institution, according to the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette.

Louise Lippincott has stepped down as chief curator, at her request, to devote more time to upcoming exhibitions and research. She remains a curator and head of the section of fine arts, a position she has held since 1991. Linda Benedict-Jones, curator of the section of photography, and Jason Busch, the Alan G. and Jane A. Lehman Curator of Decorative Arts, have been named chief curators.

Two staff members were promoted from assistant to associate curator. Amanda Zehnder, who has been at the museum since 2005, is now associate curator of fine arts. Dan Byers, who joined the museum last year, is associate curator for contemporary art.

Rauhoff was director of exhibitions for approximately ten years. His responsibilities included oversight of exhibition implementation, including installation, cost estimating and budgeting, supervision of fabricated components, traveling-show arrangements, and working with artists, artist assistants, and curators. The current exhibition staff of seven full-time employees reports to the head of registrars.
