Marco Maggi to Represent Uruguay at 2015 Venice Biennale

Artist Marco Maggi will be representing Uruguay in the next Venice Biennale. Maggi, who divides his time between Montevideo, Uruguay, and New Paltz, New York, makes drawings and installations comprising commonly found material. His work is included in the collections of the Museum of Modern Art, New York; the Guggenheim Museum, New York; the Whitney Museum of American Art, New York; the Museo de Arte Contemporaneo, São Paulo; and the Museum of Contemporary Art, Los Angeles, among other venues.
