María Inés Rodríguez Appointed Director of CAPC Musée d’Art Contemporain de Bordeaux

María Inés Rodríguez has been named director of the CAPC Musée d’Art Contemporain de Bordeaux, France. She is currently chief curator at the Museo Universitario de Arte Contemporáneo in Mexico City and previously served as curator at the Museo de Arte Contemporáneo de Castilla y Léon in Spain as well as at the Jeu de Paume in Paris. In 2005, she started Tropical Papers editions, a website dedicated to contemporary cultural creation in the tropical world. A press release states that Rodríguez’s “vision incorporates a holistic approach towards art and culture, intertwining the museum's various functions and departments, with a core interest in research and education.” She will assume her new post in February of 2014.
