MAURA REILLY APPOINTED CHIEF CURATOR AT NATIONAL ACADEMY MUSEUM

The National Academy Museum has appointed Dr. Maura Reilly as its new chief curator. Reilly previously worked as founding curator of the Elizabeth A. Sackler Center for Feminist Art at the Brooklyn Museum; she’s also held an executive position at the Linda Pace Foundation and worked as senior curator at the American Federation of Art and Location One. She’s organized more than twenty-five exhibitions internationally.

“Maura Reilly brings a wonderful combination of wisdom and experience to the National Academy,” said director Carmine Branagan. Founded in 1825, the National Academy inhabits multiple roles, serving as a museum and art school, as well as an association of artists and architects.
