MIXED REACTIONS TO NEWLY UNVEILED SAATCHI GALLERY

As the Saatchi Gallery’s collection was previewed yesterday, in advance of its opening on Thursday, it was clear that the new space is not receiving the unanimous acclaim that greeted the opening of Tate Modern three years ago, writes Louise Jury in The Independent. Critics have said that the gallery’s space in London’s County Hall, with its chambers and offices, is very unpromising as an exhibition venue.
