NEW BOARD PRESIDENT AND COPRESIDENT FOR ARTISTS SPACE

Curator, critic, and art advisor Allan Schwartzman has been named president of the board of Artists Space. Artist Rachel Harrison, who also serves as an adjunct at Columbia University, has been appointed copresident. Igor DaCosta, who previously served in the role now being taken over by Schwartzman, will now be vice president. Said Schwartzman, “As we approach our fortieth anniversary, and under the deft direction of Stefan Kalmar, Artists Space is finding new relevance to artists and audiences in an evolving cultural climate.”
