NEW MUSEUM INCREASES PRICE OF ADMISSION TO CARSTEN HöLLER’S SHOW

Randy Kennedy notes in the New York Times that the New Museum in New York has raised its price of admission from twelve to sixteen dollars after opening its exhibition featuring Belgian-born artist Carsten Höller’s participatory works. The higher prices will cover the extra staff needed to supervise museumgoers. Gabriel Einsohn, a spokeswoman for the New Museum, said of the price hike, “It is most likely not a permanent increase.”
