New York’s Kasmin Gallery Welcomes Tianyue Jiang as Director

Kasmin Gallery in New York announced that Tianyue Jiang has been named director. In addition to overseeing the exhibition program for the gallery’s four spaces in Manhattan and its new rooftop sculpture garden, Jiang will lead Kasmin’s strategic development in Asia.

“It is wonderful to welcome someone of Tianyue’s immense experience to the gallery to lead our ambitions both in Asia and at home here in New York,” Paul Kasmin said in a statement. “Her specialized knowledge of the region will be of tremendous importance as we continue to develop our client base and introduce more Asian artists to the gallery program.” 

Jiang comes to the gallery from Christie’s, where she served as a vice president and specialist in the Asian Twentieth Century and Contemporary Art Department at the auction house’s New York office. Commenting on her new role. Jiang says, “I am excited to join the team and to bring new artist names to the roster, especially those pertaining to Asia. I also hope to initiate more collaborative efforts and strategic partnerships to introduce the gallery to a wider Asian audience.”
