Ogden Museum of Southern Art Appoints Christopher Wayner Deputy Director
The Ogden Museum of Southern Art in New Orleans has announced that Christopher Wayner joined the institution as its new deputy director. Wayner most recently served as director of exhibitions at the Baltimore Museum of Art. During his tenure there, he helped oversee the installation of Mark Bradford’s presentation at the 2017 Venice Biennale. Previously, he worked as a program coordinator at the Smithsonian American Art Museum and as an exhibition specialist at the Freer and Arthur M. Sackler Galleries in Washington, DC.
“We are very excited to have Chris Wayner fill this leadership position,” William Andrews, executive director of the Ogden Museum, said in a statement. “He brings a wealth of knowledge in program planning and administration, along with tremendous experience with strategic partnerships, that will intensify our community engagement from immediate, local audiences to our international visitors seeking to better understand identity and place in the American South.”
