Philipp Kaiser to Curate Swiss Pavilion at 2017 Venice Biennale

The Swiss Arts Council Pro Helvetia has appointed Philipp Kaiser to curate the Swiss Pavilion at the 2017 Venice Biennale. Born in Berne, Kaiser lives and works in Los Angeles, where he is currently organizing a comprehensive show focusing on the archive and library of late curator Harald Szeemann at the Getty Research Institute in LA. He was also curator for modern and contemporary art at the Museum für Gegenwartskunst in Basel, and went on to work at LA MoCA. Later he was appointed director of Museum Ludwig in Cologne.
