Renato Mambor (1936–2014)

Artist Renato Mambor has passed away, according to ANSA. The Roman artist was also an actor and writer whose passion for theater led him to work as an interpreter in Fellini’s La Dolce Vita. He was also a traveling companion for everyone from Mario Schifano to Janis Kounellis. Mambor was seen as part of a momement known as the Scuola di Piazza del Popolo, which was born in Rome in the 1960s. His work was featured in numerous exhibitions at various Venice Biennales, and in venues ranging from MACRO in Rome and the Castello di Rivoli in Turin to the Jewish Museum in New York and the 2012 Havana Bienal.
